Small family owned and operated, the place was built in 1954 and the rooms reflect it but it's a good place to stay
Driving back to Florida from the mountains of North Carolina the wife decided to get hotel as we were both tired. We stopped at the World Travel Inn. The person in the office offered to show me the room before said I would take it. The room was very clean and had the king size bed I asked for and non smoking too. Great place, great staff at a very price.

Every time I come to mcrae I get a room here and every time it is a wonderful experience the owners are friendly and very accommodating the rooms are well kept they have a laundry room for the guest to use all just asl for the key and make sure you have quarters. There is a huddle house and a subway within walking distance. There is a soul food restaurant nearby but it is closed on sundays....the location is perfect to grab a bite get some gas or pick up some.snacks from the local grocery store. I sooo love this place
I absolutely love it here you actually feel safe the room was super clean. No bugs of any kind . No sticky floors or nasties on the carpet the bed was nicely made fresh sheets an all (I could tell they felt and smelled freshly washed. Plenty of towels in the bathroom fantastic quality of toilet paper (thank you world travel in ) . It's the little things that matter, they got it covered. If you need to do some laundry no worries of your belongings being stolen as they give you a key to the laundry room that only you have. The whole experience is quite nice. Yes the rooms my be dated but not in a bad way. In a warm nostalgia kind of way that makes you smile inside. Only things in my opinion is they need coffee makers in the room and new mattresses. The current ones aren't bad but you can tell they are old. Don't get it wrong as I slept well here . 100 precent worth every penny . I would definitely stay here again with a smile on my face an joy in my heart. It's a lovely small town Inn. Thank you to the management well done.
Don't judge this motel by the outside! We've stayed twice and both times had super clean rooms even behind the nightstands. Very comfy beds with good linens and warm blankets. Older motel rooms but not beat up and we'll taken care of. Bathroom was extremely clean, room was good size, carpet was clean. I can't find anything to complain about. Will stay there again!
